Oats Rabdi

We Indians have a list of sweets that one can never be bored hogging on any Indian festivals. And each dessert is cooked for a reason making each celebration more awaited for us to have them with our both hands. Like Khada Shreea is cooked for Vastu Pooja, Pongal for Pongal festival (harvesting season begins) then Monthal for Guajarati’s and Bengali sweets from Kolkata!

And yeah we all end up craving for desserts on each weekend or sometimes even on weekdays. But looking at our current daily activities, we must have a track of what we choose eating on daily basis. The love for desserts must be controlled through our minds, lean smart eating habits for a hale and hearty living!

I’ve few tricks to reduce our daily sweet tooth cravings. Make a use of honey more often in your diet than processed sugar, even the quantity of honey should be limited. Make a use of natural sweeteners like dates, raisins, apple, chikku, kiwi and banana for adding natural sweetness. This will also help you to have more of fruits and less of calories. Try hot water with honey and cinnamon that also helps to control our sweet craving naturally. 😀 My other secret way to abandon craving is eat any full fat dessert with a friend, means you end up eating half than a whole dessert and even craving is over!

Here I have a new dessert to relish when having a sweet craving. Oats- Rabdi. Oats is going to add health benefit this dessert. So let’s dive ride in making it.
